What this page covers

This website is the professional site of Dr. Marina Sorochinski. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and who else is involved when you use it.

Information you choose to give me

The only information this site asks for is what you enter in the inquiry form: your name, your email address, the subject of your inquiry, an optional event or deadline date, and whatever details you write. You are never required to use the form. You can email or call instead using the details on the contact section of any page.

What you send is used to answer you and to carry out any work that follows from your inquiry. It is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising.

How the form reaches me

The inquiry form is delivered by FormSubmit, a third-party form relay service. When you submit the form, the contents pass through FormSubmit and are emailed on. FormSubmit handles that message under its own terms and privacy practices, which are outside my control.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. Google Analytics collects information such as approximate location, the pages viewed, and general details about the browser and device. It does not tell me who you are, and I do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics may set its own cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, and the site works normally if you do.

Fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Making that request tells Google your IP address, as any request to any server does.

Links to other sites

This site links to publishers, journals, universities, professional bodies, and news outlets. Those sites are run by other people and have their own privacy practices.

Keeping and removing information

Inquiries are kept as email for as long as they are useful for correspondence and any resulting work. If you would like your inquiry and my reply deleted, write to me and I will delete them.
