I’m a psychologist, criminal justice scholar, researcher, author, and educator whose work focuses on understanding complex human behavior—and using that understanding to address real-world problems in crime, justice, and victimization.
My work sits at the intersection of psychology, criminal justice, and public policy. I study how people behave within investigative, interpersonal, and institutional contexts, and I work to translate psychological research into practical insight that can inform investigations, professional practice, prevention, policy, and better responses to those affected by crime.
This work is also my passion. I believe psychology has tremendous potential not only to deepen our understanding of human behavior, but to improve people’s lives and contribute to more effective, humane, and just systems.
